KOI

Originated from the East where they were used as food fish. Later on, it was the Japanese who discover the beauty of Koi fish and start breeding them for ornamental purposes. Koi fish at Saigon Aquarium is Cyprinus Carpio Koi

Maintenace:

Though some immature koi can be kept in a tank. It is best and ultimate to keep them in a pond with a minimum of 946 liters for one mature fish

 

Water conditions:

Koi are cold-water fish. However, they do not tolerate the cold weather well. The ideal water temperature for keeping them is from 15-25 degrees Celcius. From 10 degrees to lower ones can weaken their health.

Diet:

Since angelfish are omnivorous, they can eat both plant-based or animal-based food, from frozen to live.

Behaviour:

Koi fish is generally smart, calm, and peaceful. However, the rule bigger fish eat smaller fish applied to them, it is not recommended to put small fish along with the Koi because they are known to eat smaller species as well as the fries when they have an opportunity.
