shipments per year
Established in 1999, Saigon Aquarium was a small yet well-organized freshwater fish breeding company. Though we faced difficulties finding a customer willing to try ornamental fish from Vietnam, we soon made our achievements in the Vietnam marketplace as a fish supplier and an importer. Over time, we succeeded and became the Vietnamese leading breeder and exporter.
Our business first started with collecting and then reselling the fish. After a while, we managed to build our breeding farm, which was only 8.000 sqm. Having an acquaintance in the Czech Republic, we have received much help from Czech fish experts in raising fish and training the staff. After a few years, we reviewed the knowledge we learned and innovated them with the experience gained through the past few years, creating our way of breeding and raising the fish.
The year 2000 marked our very first shipments officially exported to the international market. This success was a stepping stone for our later presence in various countries in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and North America.
From 2008 to 2010, we had continuously focused on breeding, collecting fish from the wild, and discovering new species to introduce to the fish market, one of which was Sewellia Lineolata. This wild breed was one of Saigon Aquarium's proudest discoveries and soon became one of the industry's hottest topics when revealed. In 2010, through constant growth in both scale and quality, SGA officially became the first Vietnamese member of OFI (Ornamental Fish International).
After 20 years of constant striving, learning, and expanding, we are proudly claimed to be the most prominent breeder and legit exporter of tropical freshwater fish in Vietnam, with hands-on experience and numerous prizes and awards given by the Vietnamese government. We have the most extensive connection with the whole country's suppliers, which helps us to provide the fish to our customers consistently.
Our motto will always be "deliver super quality fish to satisfy our customers' needs."
